Welcome! This sample application lets you "check executive pay". It's built entirely on MarkLogic Server. It brings together unstructured and tabular data from two different financial information sources, and demonstrates Mark Logic's ability to seamlessly extract and analyze content and synthesize it into a completely new form. This application is not "canned" or "hard coded"; the pages are created on the fly from content collected from publicly available online sources.

Throughout the demo, you will see next to each content block a button that looks like this:

Clicking this button reveals the source of the content and explains how MarkLogic Server integrates that information into the Executive Pay Check application.

As you browse from page to page, please note how our server:

• Uses rules to identify relevant information from a larger pool of less interesting content
• Can extract tabular numeric data from unstructured content sources
• Performs quantitative analysis of information found in mixed content
